Baron Johannes Ritter was of noble birth believed to be a baron in the court of King Frederick, a Prussian citizen of prominence, and owned considerable real estate in Prussia. He had several sons, some sources state possibly 13, all of whom save Valentine, the youngest, served in the Prussian army of King Frederick the Great (24-JAN-1712 – 17-AUG-1786) who reigned 46 years from 31-MAY-1740 – 17-AUG-17861,10,4,5
